Danish pension insurer, Velliv, reached approximately 2,900 companies through stewardship dialogue in 2025, according to its latest Active Ownership Report.

The provider said its active ownership activities were carried out through a combination of company dialogue, voting, and participation in investor collaborations, supporting its broader responsible investment objectives linked to the Paris Agreement and biodiversity protection.

During the year, Velliv voted at 1,871 ordinary and extraordinary general meetings across 1,559 companies and held direct dialogue with 82 companies. Through investor collaborations and asset managers, the provider reached around 2,900 companies through engagement activities.

Velliv also highlighted progress in its climate stewardship efforts, aimed at encouraging portfolio companies to adopt science-based emissions reduction targets aligned with the Paris Agreement.

The pension insurer said companies, including Nvidia and LS Electric, committed to validated carbon reduction targets following engagement efforts.

In total, Velliv was in dialogue with 14 companies during 2025 regarding participation in the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) and the validation of their emissions reduction targets.

Alongside its climate work, Velliv continued to strengthen its biodiversity initiatives. The provider noted that it published an analysis in 2025 examining how its investments in listed equities and corporate bonds may depend on and impact biodiversity.

Velliv said its active ownership approach is guided by international standards, including the UN Global Compact, the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, and the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises.
