The results also showed that premiums written increased to SEK 17,171m in H1 2026, compared to SEK 15,345m in H1 2025, while commission and fee income increased by SEK 37m to SEK 1,132m in the same period.

The report explained that returns in the first half of the year were affected by volatile stock markets, with a weak start and a clear recovery during the second quarter.

The fund went on to explain that this also had an impact on Länsförsäkringar’s fund offering, as of the 153 funds, 90% posted positive returns during the first half of 2026.

The average fund return was 9.9% during the first half of the year and 16.2% over the past 12 months.

Commenting on the results, Länsförsäkringar AB CEO, Björn Dalemo, said: “Länsförsäkringar's first half of 2026 was characterised by good results and a continued focus on future-proof operations.

"In a world with geopolitical uncertainty and extreme weather events, we are continuously adapting our operations to uphold our customer promise to simplify customers' everyday lives and contribute to a secure future.

“In 2026, the implementation of the IT solutions that we have been working on for a long time in the non-life, banking and pension businesses will continue, and we are now seeing positive effects in our customer meetings. We also continue to modernise our IT landscapes.

“At the same time, it is very important to focus on the development being cost-effective in order to optimise our investments for increased customer benefit.”
