Lumera has announced that it has completed two major migrations for the Nordic life insurance and pensions provider, Nordea Liv, comprising more than 58 million transactions.
The migrations, completed by the insurtech firm on its cloud-based platform in the first half of 2026, also included over 70,000 contracts and 163,000 investment accounts.
Lumera has been collaborating with Nordea Liv since 2023 to introduce a new platform for life and pensions policy administration in Norway. The project leveraged the Insurtech firm’s methodology for implementation and data migration, where the company manages planning, development, migration and production launch.
It stated that the migrations mark an important milestone in the collaboration between the two firms, demonstrating Lumera’s "ability to execute complex transformation projects on a large scale".
Nordea Liv said the new solution means a modernised core enterprise system that enables new digital services and reduces the complexity of its application landscape.
The migrations also form part of a larger transformation program, which is set to be completed by 2030.
CEO at Lumera, Jonas Alfredsson, said: "This project is a comprehensive undertaking, with large volumes of data and strict demands on quality and stability. Working closely with Nordea Liv, we have now completed two important migrations that lay the foundation for further modernisation and development."
CEO at Nordea Liv Norway, Anders Granstad, added: "This is an important milestone in the modernisation of our systems. Together with Lumera, we have completed an extensive migration that lays a solid foundation for further development and innovation."
