Aviva Investors has appointed Sahil Shaikh as a multi-asset portfolio manager.

He will be based in London and will assume co-portfolio management responsibilities across a number of funds within the firm’s MAF Core and MAF Plus fund ranges.

Sahil has over 15 years’ experience within the investment industry, having held portfolio management positions at a number of firms, including Lombard Odier and M&G. He also served as an analyst at Fulcrum Asset Management at the start of his investment career.

Sotirios Nakos, head of multi-asset portfolio management at Aviva Investors said: “We’re thrilled to welcome Sahil to our team. He brings with him a vast amount of industry knowledge and experience, which I believe will effectively complement the existing expertise within the multi-asset portfolio management team.

“This appointment underlines Aviva Investors’ continued commitment to being a leading player in the multi-asset market, something that remains a vital focus for our business. We already have a fantastic industry-leading team in place, but it is important that we continue to grow and evolve our expertise within a competitive marketplace. I have no doubt Sahil will make a strong contribution from day one.”
